Year 10 The Murder of Stephen Lawrence: Analysing the Macpherson report

Following on from the last lesson where we looked into the murder of Stephen Lawrence we will be analysing the subsequent report made by Lord Macpherson.

We talked about how the case had highlighted racism and prejudice within the police and legal system, and even assumptions made by the jury.

Now we will investigate the recommendations made by the report, and decide whether we think the changes would be/have been effective.

Well done to Year 8!!!

To all Year 8s who have handed in their Gurdwara Projects so far:

Well Done!!!

All of the RE department have been so impressed by the level of detail, skill, effort and resourcefulness you have all shown in producing your temples.

The entrants so far have been exhibited to the sixth form, and some potential winners are being lined up for various prizes. This will have to wait until after half term, however, as one class will not hand in their models until then.
